I'm a self-taught painter living in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania

I guess I was always crafting as a child making the loom potholders, then learning the basic embrodery stitches, cross stitching, crewel work in which I've done a number of pictures.

I always hated art class. When they said draw people, mine were stick figures!!! I took a ceramic class and the teacher had to paint my eyes in. Then when I was helping a minister's wife with a Sunday School class, she had taken a wood shop class and she was making Mickey Mouse bookends, bunny baskets, girl/boy coat hangers for the kids as gifts for Christmas and Easter, I was in charge of painting them. Then in 1987 we started selling our work and the rest is history. Now my husband cuts the wood out after I trace the patterns, then I prepare the wood, sand, paint and varnish it.

I also sew some items, but I always come back to painting. I like the bright colors, but I can also stain and make it look prim if you would like.
